10 Memes That Perfectly Sum Up Apple As A Company

While the date still hasn’t been announced, the next major Apple event is set to take place in September, and consumers are champing at the bit to see what Apple might announce. New Macbooks? New watches? New iPhones? It’s anyone’s guess, and that’s part of what’s driving the excitement.

With Apple having been around since 1976, the company has built some solid trust as it has proved that its products are quality each and every time they put out a new one. Still, that hasn’t stopped excited consumers from making memes about the company that sum it up pretty well.

Viewed As Unchanging

The idea that Apple doesn’t actually make significant changes is pretty prevalent in media. After all, Apple managed to put out a computer stand that would cost as much as a cell phone, and it seems like every year that the company puts out a new phone with a better camera and few other changes.

Of course, it isn’t completely accurate. Every Apple iPhone has been different, and each development has revolutionized the industry. After all, the iPhone 8 introduced wireless charging, which has done a great job at increasing ease of use. Still, the perception that Apple doesn’t change much remains firm for the company.

Bigger And Bigger

With only a few exceptions, each new iteration to the iPhone seems to be getting bigger at the same rate that it does better. While it does make sense that consumers would want larger screens, it does make it inconvenient for those who might not have the space in their pockets.

It’s been a joke for years that a future iPhone will eventually be the size of a Macbook, though given the existence of the iPad, it’s unlikely. Besides, Apple’s flagship phones always tend to be a cut above the rest, which explains why it needs to be a great deal larger.

Opinions Never Changed

Apple’s current largest phone, the iPhone 13 Pro Max, measures at 6.7-inch, which is a pretty large phone. While it isn’t quite as large as the memes might imply, it’s still a huge phone, even if it doesn’t show quite as many apps as this meme might have consumers think.

But what this meme really highlights is just how much the iPhone has changed over the years. With each app redesigned, the home button removed, the shut-down button on the side of the screen, and the phones considerably wider, it practically looks like a new creation entirely. It just shows how far Apple has gone to innovate its products.

No More Wires

The AirPods revolutionized the way that consumers listen to music, podcasts, and even TikTok trends. While Bluetooth existed prior to the AirPod, Apple certainly made it considerably more popular, making it far less likely that people on the streets view anyone talking to thin air with distaste.

With consumers no longer stuck trying to detangle wires, it’s an entirely new experience for the wider audience. Though some consumers using non-iPhones or older iPhones have stuck to wires to save money on the cost of expensive AirPods, many are making the switch and getting used to a new world of audio.

Never The Wanted Announcement

While users tend to hope for specific devices or innovations at each major Apple announcement, an important note about the tech industry is that new technology only comes when it’s ready. So, while some users may desperately hope for a new iPad or iPhone SE version, Apple isn’t incentivized to put it out until it’s completely ready.

While that can sometimes lead to disappointed users, it also helps to ensure that the line as a whole remains solid and worthwhile. After all, consumers go to Apple knowing that they will receive a polished product. Asking for a device too soon will just ensure bugs and other problems.

Pretty Expensive

One major thing about Apple is that it’s expensive. One phone can cost as much as $1,600, which can certainly put a dent in the wallets of most consumers. That can sometimes cause users to seek out low-storage phones or devices, just to help ensure that they can get something from Apple.

Still, when Apple apps can do everything from making homes smarter to helping users figure out how to take the subway, it’s pretty essential that people get the right devices for their needs. So even if the iPhones and MacBooks are expensive, people do need them.

Prices Add Up

Unfortunately, even though the initial devices can be pretty expensive, there are some additional costs to be considered. Cables, chargers, and AirPods all add some extra costs to the initial ticket price, even if consumers don’t necessarily expect those additional burdens.

Each device is essential, on top of any adapters that people might need for their day-to-day activities. It can be somewhat frustrating, but most users have learned to add a little extra space in their budget if they intend to pick up a new Apple device to account for add-ons.

Unclear Names

In 2021, Apple introduced two of the most powerful chips that the company has ever produced: The M1 Pro and the M1 Max. Of course, while most consumers were impressed by the 64GB of memory and the 32-core GPU, the two names were a bit too similar for the wider audience.

While the M1 Pro Max doesn’t actually exist, it certainly seems a concept less confusing than the Pro and Max existing separately. After all, which is meant to be more impressive? The Pro, as it’s meant for professionals? The Max, as it could be the maximum capacity offered? It’s hard to say, and that difference is pretty apparent across the Apple line, as users try to figure out which phones are better between the iPhone SE and the numbered devices.

Knows What It Wants

When Apple has its mind set on something, it sticks to it. Whether that be removing the headphone jack to the protest of consumers, switching charging cables, or refusing to allow Macbook owners to close the Finder app, Apple tends to do what it wants.

Though macOS has changed considerably through the years, trying to close Finder remains a major annoyance to anyone who just wants a clean home screen. Yet Apple doesn’t seem to intend to change the situation, and it’s likely fans will get used to it the same way they’ve come to accept Apple’s other changes.

Humble Beginnings

It’s incredible to see how far Apple has come over the years. From a big hulking device with barely enough capacity to manage a couple of apps to the incredible processing power within iPhones alone, it’s genuinely amazing to see. After all, few companies have ever made such massive leaps in technology.

The Macintosh computer evolving as far as it has also shown just how much the tech industry as a whole, and Apple in particular, has grown. No one in 1984 could have seen where the company would go, which makes it all the more impressive that it’s become the international juggernaut it is today.
