Here, things go wrong when Josh goes missing, presumably kidnapped. Sara stays illegally at the consulate to find her son, and in the process, stumbles upon a dark conspiracy.

A Fast-Paced Action Thriller

Havoc, starring Tom Hardy in the lead role, is an action thriller about Patrick Walker, a homicide detective who gets involved in a drug deal gone wrong. Walker has to find and protect the son of a politician and a tycoon’s estranged son, which lands him in hot water with a gang of thieves and an organized crime group. Meanwhile, a dark conspiracy beyond his scope begins to unravel.

Havoc features heavy action and visuals and has received average to positive reviews from critics. If you like a fast-paced action thriller, then this film can be an entertaining watch.

Nonnas

A True Heartwarming Story

Nonnas is a heartwarming comedy movie based on the true story of Joe Scaravella, who owns the restaurant Enoteca Maria. Released during the Mother’s Day weekend, this movie tells the story of Joe, who is grieving the loss of his mother. When he reminisces about his mother and grandmother’s cooking, he decides to open up an Italian restaurant but with a twist: the cooking is done only by nonnas. While setting up the restaurant for success, Joe tries to find a forgotten recipe, deals with the chaos of the nonnas, and reconnects with his high school crush.

Nonnas hit the No. 1 spot on Netflix’s Top 10 charts in the United States after its release. It has received largely positive reviews.

Lost in Starlight

The Story of Star-Crossed Lovers

Lost in Starlight is Netflix’s first original Korean animation, releasing at the end of May. Directed by Han Jiwon and starring Kim Tae-ri and Hong Kyung, the film is a futuristic romance story set in 2050. This romance tale tells the story of astronaut Nan-young and musician Jay, as she leaves for Mars. The two have to navigate the million miles between them, while Jay becomes devoted to his music and Nan-young takes bigger steps in her research.

Lost in Starlight features bright, retro-punk animation in a futuristic setting. This movie will be a must-watch for animation, romance, and Korean drama fans alike.

A YA Forbidden Romance

Bad Influence (Mala Influencia) is a Spanish-language romance film that tells the story of a wealthy ballerina named Reese, whose millionaire father hires a bodyguard named Eros, an ex-felon, to protect her from a mysterious stalker. The two, however, find themselves entangled in a forbidden relationship when sparks start to fly.

The movie has been released as a Netflix Original film.

The Wild Robot

A Tear-Jerking Sci-Fi Animation

The Wild Robot is a critically acclaimed sci-fi animated film that was theatrically released in September last year. Based on the novel of the same name by Peter Brown, the film tells the story of Roz, an intelligent robot who has been stranded after a shipwreck on a desolate island. The film revolves around the murder of Antonio Navarro Cerdán, who is stabbed to death. The prime suspect is his widow, Maje, who is suspected of having recruited the help of her lover, Salva, to murder her husband.
