The 2022 Buick Enclave will come standard with a wireless version of the Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone connectivity systems.
Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto will be offered as standard equipment on all 2022 Buick Enclave trim levels. The 2022MY Enclave will come in three trim levels: Essence, Premium and Avenir.
The 2022 Buick Enclave is the first model year for the mid-cycle-enhancement (MCE) version of the second-generation Enclave. The updated model features different front and rear fasciae, new LED headlamps and taillights, new alloy wheel options and a unique grille and wheels for models equipped with the available Sport Touring package. Inside, the revised mid-size crossover gets a restyled center console with a new push-button Electronic Transmission Range Select and more premium soft touch points.
The Enclave will continue with only one engine option: the naturally aspirated 3.6L V6 LFY gasoline engine, which produces 310 horsepower at 6,600 rpm and 266 pound-feet of torque at 2,800 rpm. The V6 is paired with a GM nine-speed automatic transmission and standard front-wheel drive, with all-wheel drive available as an option.
The MCE version of the second-generation Buick Enclave was originally set to arrive for the 2021 model year, however the refresh was eventually pushed back to 2022 due to complications stemming from the COVID-19 pandemic.
The 2022 Buick Enclave will be built at the GM Lansing Delta Township plant in Michigan alongside the closely related Chevy Traverse. Just like the updated Buick Enclave, the 2022 Chevy Traverse also adds wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as standard equipment across all trim levels.
GM began rolling out wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto to its vehicles for the 2021MY. The Chevy Trailblazer subcompact crossover was the first GM product to feature the wireless version of the system.
