Since its debut in July 2024, the highly anticipated Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 has been flooded with orders. It’s no surprise, as buyers have eagerly awaited their chance to own this supercar slayer.
Now, the wait is over. We finally know when production of the 2025 Corvette ZR1 will begin.
Production Is Almost Here
According to order holders on CorvetteBlogger, dealers have reported that production of the ZR1 has recently moved to the 3000 status. This means those orders are now scheduled for production.
In addition to this exciting update, customers who selected specific aero packages also receive updates. They’ve been notified of a Target Production Week (TPW) scheduled for early May.

The Wait Is Almost Over
Although the production status has changed, Chevrolet has not confirmed the exact dates. However, we do know that the next allocation cycle is set to begin this week, unless it’s delayed like the March cycle.
Last month, dealerships were not informed about a delay in the ZR1’s allocation cycle. This raises the question of whether allocations will face another delay.
If April allocations are delayed, there’s no need to worry about its impact on the ZR1’s value in the short term. As previously mentioned, Chevrolet has extended the do-not-sell period for flippers to 12 months.
This gives buyers the opportunity to enjoy their dream Corvette for under $200,000. It’s a win for enthusiasts looking to hold onto their ZR1.
