The Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge is now in launch month, according to reports, but as we get close to release those fears over potential battery life continue to grow.
WinFuture has obtained a spec sheet for the phone that offers the same 3,900Ah battery pack, which is significantly less than the 4,900mAh battery pack on the Galaxy S25+ phone.
How significant that shortcoming is remains to be seen. Our reviewer said the Galaxy S25+ offered “good all-day battery life”
“The Galaxy S25 Plus will also last about a day and a half in normal use,” he wrote. “Of course this will vary from user to user and what you do with your phone, but making calls, browsing, using Google Maps or navigation and some hotspotting, followed by some evening gaming left me with enough juice still in the phone to not bother charging overnight.”
Given there’s a shortcoming of 1,000mAh, one might a suggest 20% battery life shortfall. It means it’ll probably still get you through a day and night but not a lot more under the same use conditions. Is that to be expected with these slim phones? Probably. Will this keep the S25 Edge among the best Samsung phones? That remains to be seen.
Elsewhere the spec sheet confirms a lot of what we’ve seen before. The phone is said to be powered by a Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC accompanied by 12GB of RAM and up to 512GB of storage.
There’s going to be a 6.7-inch display covered with Gorilla Glass Ceramic 2 and with a 1440p resolution. It’s said the device will weight 163g.
Reports suggest the company will launch the device at an Unpacked event on May 13. The potential price leaked last week too and it’ll probably be some way between the S25+ and S25 Ultra.
