Alongside its flagship Watch 5, Huawei has recently launched the Fit 4 series.
Made up of the Watch Fit 4 and Fit 4 Pro, we’re keen to see what really separates the two wearables, and whether you should opt for one over the other.
With this in mind, we’ve compared the specs of both and highlighted what we think are the main differences between the Huawei Watch Fit 4 and Fit 4 Pro here. Want to see how the Watch 5 compares? Our Huawei Watch 5 vs Fit 4 Pro guide explains everything you need to know.
Pricing and Availability
The Huawei Watch Fit 4 is the cheaper of the two, with an RRP of £149.99, and is available in Aluminium Black, Grey, White and Purple.
On the other hand, the Huawei Watch Fit 4 Pro will set you back an additional £100, at £249.99. The Watch Fit 4 Pro comes in a choice of three colours, including Titanium Black, Green or Blue.
Huawei Watch Fit 4 is lighter
Weighing just 27g (excluding the strap), the Huawei Watch Fit 4 is slightly lighter than the Fit 4 Pro which weighs 30.4g. However, the Watch Fit 4 Pro is slightly thinner than its cheaper counterpart, at just 9.3mm. Although Huawei says the Watch Fit 4 Pro was designed for extra comfort, the is only slightly thicker at 9.5mm, so the difference is negligible.

Huawei Watch Fit 4 Pro has a sapphire glass display
While both displays are 1.82-inch AMOLED colour screens, they differ with their respective builds. Although Huawei hasn’t explicitly clarified the screen type of the Watch Fit 4, the Watch Fit 4 Pro sports a sapphire glass display.
Huawei explains that a sapphire glass screen is “second only to diamond in hardness” and delivers exceptional corrosion and wear resistance.
Huawei Watch Fit 4 Pro is brighter
If you’ll likely use your smartwatch mostly outdoors, say if your preferred sport of choice is running or cycling, then the Fit 4 Pro might suit you better as it has a higher peak brightness of 3000 nits. Akin to the much more expensive Apple Watch Ultra 2 and even the premium Huawei Watch 5, 3000 nits brightness means the Watch Fit 4 Pro’s screen should remain clear under direct sunlight.
That’s not to say the Watch Fit 4 isn’t bright. In fact, it sports up to 2000 nits brightness which is the same as the Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra and the Huawei Watch GT 5 Pro. Considering we found both watches are clear in direct sunlight, this bodes well for the Watch Fit 4 too.
Huawei Watch Fit 4 Pro supports up to 40m diving
The entire Watch Fit 4 series both sport a 5ATM water-resistance rating, which Huawei disclaims means the smartwatches can withstand up to 50 meters of static water pressure for up to 10 minutes. This, however, does not mean the Watch Fit 4 is water-resistant in 50m of water, so should not be used for diving.
On the other hand, the Watch Fit 4 Pro can withstand free diving up to 40 meters and complies with the EN13319 standard for diving accessories. Not only is this the same as the pricier Apple Watch Ultra 2 and Huawei Watch GT 5 Pro, but this is actually better than the Huawei Watch 5 which only withstands up to 30 meters of diving.
Huawei Watch Fit 4 doesn’t support Huawei’s TruSense System
Launched back in 2024, Huawei’s TruSense offers fact, accurate and comprehensive tracking of more than 60 health and fitness indicators “across six of the human body’s major systems” to produce an actionable assessment of the individual’s health.
Although the Watch Fit 4 Pro makes use of this technology, and can therefore monitor everything from heart rate to blood pressure and respiratory rate, the Watch Fit 4 doesn’t sport this. However, the Watch Fit 4 can still measure your heart rate variability (HRV) and offers in-depth health insights too.
Early Verdict
If you’re looking for a lightweight smartwatch that offers a general overview into your health and fitness, then the Huawei Watch Fit 4 is a brilliant budget-friendly option.
However, for a more accurate insight, with a brighter and more durable screen and better water protection, then you might be better off spending a bit more on the Huawei Watch Fit 4 Pro.
We’ll update this once we’ve reviewed both smartwatches.
