ASUS is coming with a great business laptop as a strong competitor designed to go head-to-head with the popular MacBook Air. The 2025 ExpertBook B5 comes in 14-inch or 16-inch options, though the price might be a bit too high for some potential buyers.
Performance-wise, the ExpertBook B5 is impressive. It runs on Intel Core Ultra 7 Series 2 processors, with options going up to the Intel Core Ultra 7 vPro Processor 265H, which has 16 cores and 16 threads and delivers strong AI performance with up to 13 NPU TOPS and 99 total platform TOPS. This processing power is backed by up to 64GB of DDR5 RAM and PCIe 4.0 SSD storage options up to 2TB, with support for dual SSDs that can be set up in RAID 0 or RAID 1 for better speed or data security.
The laptop has a high-resolution display of up to 16:10 WQXGA with a 144Hz refresh rate and 400 nits brightness. This is great for business, especially with the built-in ASUS ExpertMeet with real-time translation, transcription, and AI-generated meeting summaries. It also has ASUS AI Audio, which includes two-way noise cancellation, making calls and video conferences clearer. There’s also Wi-Fi 7 support.

ASUS has set the starting price at $1,569.99, with some configurations going as high as $1,689.99. It reminds us of a typical ultrabook with Intel Core Ultra 7 processors, and a MacBook Air is normally $1,199 for a top model.
