The December Security Patch (2020) is now available for Pixel devices


    December Security Patch

    December is notable for two reasons in its the last Security Patch for 2020 and that it marks the end of software support for the Pixel 2 and 2 XL. The December Security Patch is now rolling out to all Pixel handsets (except the 1st-generation), and we’ve got the details and download links for you after the break.

    The December Patch is available for the following models with Verizon variants set to be updated from December 14th. Check out the build info below:

    • Pixel 5: RQ1A.201205.011 – Global
    • Pixel 5: RQ1A.201205.010 – AT&T
    • Pixel 4a 5G: RQ1A.201205.011 – Global
    • Pixel 4a 5G: RQ1A.201205.010 – AT&T
    • Pixel 4/Pixel 4 XL: RQ1A.201205.008 – Global
    • Pixel 4/Pixel 4 XL: RQ1A.201205.008.A1 – AT&T

    If you just can’t wait for the patch to roll out to your Pixel handset, you can of course download and manually flash the factory image or OTA file via the links below:

    Once you’ve downloaded the file, you can flash it to your Pixel handset via the Android Flash Tool which can be found here.
