Leaked roadmap reveals Samsung’s Galaxy Tab S7 Lite and Galaxy S21 FE launch events – no mention of Galaxy Note

With the Galaxy S21 series doing well and a crowded premium smartphone line-up, Samsung is delaying the follow-up to the Galaxy Note 20 series until 2022. The news isn’t really a surprise when you consider that the S21 Ultra has S Pen support and the constant rumors that the Galaxy Z Fold 3 will also support Samsung’s stylus. We won’t see a new Galaxy Note, but in the months ahead we have the launch of the Galaxy Tab S7 Lite in June and the Galaxy S21 FE on August 19th to look forward to.

According to the roadmap posted by Evan Blass, Samsung plans to hold a PC Unpacked event where it’s likely we’ll see the next batch of Galaxy Book laptops and Galaxy Chromebooks, after which we can look forward to the Galaxy Tab S7 Lite during June. July brings the announcement of the affordable Galaxy A22/A22 5G while another Unpacked event in August will see the Galaxy S21 FE launched. As you can see, there is no mention of the Galaxy Note on the roadmap.

While it’s clear that Samsung doesn’t plan on abandoning the Galaxy Note series, it’s also evident that it isn’t sure where it fits in its current line-up and we are likely to see S Pen support come to other premium handsets in the meantime. That’s sad news, but hey, we’ve still got the Galaxy S21 FE to look forward to, right?
