If you’ve been thinking about signing up to Stadia Pro to see what all the fuss is about or perhaps just looking to extend your current subscription, you can grab yourself a three-month trial subscription courtesy of Lenovo, absolutely free-of-charge. That’s right, there’s no need to pay anything, all you need to do is join perform a couple of simple tasks to be eligible for the freebie.
The first thing you’ll need to do is head over to the Lenovo Legion Gaming Community website and register for an account if you don’t already have one, after which you’ll receive a confirmation email. Once you’ve confirmed your email, you’ll be sent to the giveaway page where you’ll need to enter your account username and perform the following tasks via the Gleam link below:
Once you’ve entered your Legion Gaming Community account username, joined the Legion Discord Server, and followed LenovoLegion on Twitch, click the big green Claim button which will take you over to the Stadia website.
In the address bar, scroll right to the end where you’ll see “invite_code=” and a code. Copy the code and then open up Stadia Settings, click on Redeem Code and then paste the copied code into the box. Press ‘Redeem’ and confirm that you understand that after the trial period has finished Google will begin charging you for Stadia Pro.
You can now leave the Legion Discord Server and unfollow the LenovoLegion account on Twitch if you wish without issue.
Don’t want to commit to paying for Stadia Pro automatically?
Well, you don’t have to.
Open up Stadia Settings again and this time head over to Purchases and Subscriptions and click on ‘Unsubscribe’. You’ll be asked why you are canceling after which you’ll be asked to confirm that you want to cancel the subscription. You’ll also be given a date for when your three-month trial, and access to Stadia Pro, will cease. Confirm that you’d like to cancel the subscription and you’ll not have to worry about being charged when the trial is over. If you plan on staying signed up to Stadia Pro you’ll just need to re-subscribe.
