Having recently launched the stupendous Mi 11 Ultra, Xiaomi is fleshing out the range with the Mi 11i that shares much of its hardware and aesthetics with the Poco F3 and the Mi 11X but is aimed at the European market. Sporting the latest Snapdragon 888 processor, with a 6.67-inch Super AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, a 108MP main camera, and 33W fast-charging, Xiaomi’s Mi 11i promises to be a premium smartphone experience.
Besides having a 120Hz refresh rate, the 6.67-inch Super AMOLED DotDisplay boasts FHD+ resolution (2400 x 1080), has a 360Hz touch sampling rate, HDR10+ certification, and is capable of 1,300 nits peak brightness. Not as high as the 2,000 nits on Sharp’s Aquos R6, but still extremely bright. Under the hood. you’ll find the Snapdragon 888 processor, 8GB of RAM, and a choice of 128/256GB of built-in UFS 3.1 storage.
The 108MP main camera supports 9-in-1 pixel binning to produce a large 2.1μm pixel and is accompanied by an 8MP ultra-wide lens with a 119-degree FoV as well as a 5MP telemacro lens that takes care of telephoto and macro photography needs. The Mi 11i features Audio Zoom that lets users “zoom in” on the sound and the object at the same time, which could be handy when filming a video in noisy environments.
A 4,520mAh battery keeps the lights on with 33W fast charging along with a 33W wall charger that is included in the box. Dual stereo speakers are present with Dolby Atmos, as is 5G connectivity, NFC, Bluetooth 5.2, WiFi 6 support, an IR blaster, and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. Xiaomi’s Mi 11i runs Android 11 with MIUI 12 running on top and will go on sale in Cosmic Black, Frosty White, and Celestial Silver colorways.
There’s no word on European pricing as yet, nor when it will go on general sale but we’ll update the post when we find out. And of course, we’ve got the Xiaomi Mi 11i coming in to be reviewed in the next week or two.
