Anker is a brand that most of us are familiar with thanks to its vast range of smartphone accessories that are often available at discounted prices. Already a producer of quality portable projectors, Anker is stepping into the streaming device segment with its recently teased Nebula Android TV 4K dongle that will be announced ‘around September’.

The Nebula Android TV 4K dongle was teased on Twitter by Anker’s Japanese account, showing off the somewhat stubby nature of the device, and the apparent presence of a MicroUSB port for charging. Running Android 10 with support for Dolby Digital Plus and 4K output via HDMI, the dongle will also come with a remote that is based on the G10 design sported by the Chromecast with Google TV device.

It’s not known whether the Nebula Android TV 4K dongle will launch anywhere other than Japan at this time but seeing that Anker sells a number of projectors running Android TV in a number of regions, it wouldn’t be a surprise to see it launched in the west.

He’s been an Android fan ever since owning an HTC Hero, with the Dell Streak being his first phablet. He currently carries an OPPO Find X2 Pro in his pockets, a Galaxy Tab S5e in his backpack, and thinks nothing of lugging a 17-inch laptop around the world. When not immersed in the world of Android and gadgets, he’s an avid sports fan, and like all South Africans, he loves a good Braai (BBQ).
