Back with a rather familiar design is HMD Global whose upcoming Nokia G50 5G has been laid bare by a serial leaker with renders, specifications, and pricing on show. Packing in a big 6.82-inch HD+ display, the Nokia G50 5G offers a modest hardware list for around the €260 (~$306) mark that one might expect better, although HMD Global is promising two years of OS updates and three years of security patches for the device.
The leaked information and images come courtesy of the reliable Roland Quandt and reveal the same design that we’ve seen on previous handsets such as the Nokia 5.4, and X20. Powered by the Snapdragon 480G processor with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of expandable storage, the G50 5G’s main outstanding features are the presence of a big 6.82-inch display along with the big 4.850mAh battery. We’ve got the rest of the specifications for you below.

Price at €269, it’s difficult to recommend the Nokia G50 5G (at least on paper) when you can buy the Realme 8 5G that is powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 700 chipset and accompanied by 8GB of RAM, 128GB of expandable storage, a 90Hz display, and a 5,000mAh battery with 18W fast charging at €199. Who knows, maybe HMD Global will tweak the pricing to better reflect the hardware on offer.
