Apple allegedly seal surprise West Ham / Ted Lasso partnership

Tech giants Apple are set to pay West Ham United £150,000 in order to ‘acquire intellectual property’ amidst a potential starring role for the East Londoners in the hit comedy show Ted Lasso, according to Daily Mail journalist Mike Keegan.

Apple – the biggest company in the world, have a quite mind boggling market capitalisation of $2.26 trillion (Statista).

That’s an incredible $286 billion ahead of Microsoft who are second on the list.

The Silicon Valley based firm have gone from strength to strength over the past few years and are arguably now the most recognisable brand in the world.

Apple are absolutely huge in every corner of the globe, but nobody would have ever mentioned them in the same sentence as West Ham United.

That could all be set to change now, however.

Apple allegedly seal surprise West Ham / Ted Lasso partnership

Daily Mail journalist Mike Keegan claims that the tech giants have paid the Hammers £150k for use of their ‘intellectual property’.

Apple have allegedly also reached an agreement with West Ham to use them in the next series of Ted Lasso starring Hollywood star Jason Sudeikis.

Exactly what this means, we’re not quite sure. Perhaps it will include use of the London Stadium for filming? Or the club’s Rush Green training ground?

This exact definition of intellectual property is: ‘intangible property that is the result of creativity, such as patents, copyrights, etc’.

So that could be anything from the West Ham United club badge to stadium design etc, etc.

Whatever the actual agreement is, it’s an exciting one for the West Ham fans.

Now we can say ‘We are massive’ without our tongues in our cheeks.

Apple didn’t choose Tottenham, Arsenal, Chelsea or anyone else for that matter did they!
