In a brand new blog post, it has been announced that the popular RPG looter shooter Outriders is coming to the Microsoft Store on Oct. 19, 2021 through Xbox Game Pass for PC (and by extension, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate). Like other Xbox Game Pass for PC titles, players will be able to download, install, and play Outriders through the Microsoft Store on Oct. 19 and beyond.
It has also been confirmed that veteran players can transfer progress between Xbox consoles and the Microsoft Store version of the game on PC, meaning that you won’t need to make a new character and start over as long as you’re using the same Microsoft Account on your Xbox and your PC. Additionally, Outriders will also be updated with support for crossplay on all platforms, allowing all players to play with each other regardless of platform.
The blog post concluded with a tease that fans should “keep your eye on Outriders in the coming weeks” and that “some exciting updates are coming your way,” suggesting that there will be new features and/or content announced for Outriders soon. Overall, Outriders is already one of the best Xbox shooters for fans of the looter shooter genre, so it’s great to see that it’s being improved with crossplay, cross progression, and more.
