At Xbox’s 20th anniversary celebration, Microsoft unveiled a mountain of highly requested backward-compatible classics, alongside a slew of further enhancements via FPS Boost and beyond.

Included in the list are fan-favorite franchises like Remedy’s legendary Max Payne titles, the classic horror FPS F.E.A.R., Rockstar’s violent stealth slasher Manhunt, legendary FPS TimeSplitters, and Xbox classic Oddworld: Munch’s Oddysee.

Alongside the sizeable 70+ list of new backward-compatible Xbox games, we also have a mountain of new FPS Boost titles. Dragon Age: Origins and Dragon Age II both get the 60 FPS treatment now on next-gen systems, alongside Fallout 3 and New Vegas, Dead Space 2 and 3, and many more. Microsoft also revealed that it is bringing FPS Boost to Xbox Cloud Gaming, allowing cloud-based versions of existing games to hit 60 FPS if your connection speed allows for it.

For the full list of new goodies, see further below. Given the fact Microsoft seems to once again be on the game preservation train, I suspect that this won’t be the last time we hear about more games coming to the platform in the months and years ahead.

    New Xbox backward-compatible games

Here are all the new games hitting Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and Xbox Series S thanks to the backward-compatibility program. People who own any of these games digitally will be able to download them from the Microsoft Store on your console or via your Games & Apps library. If you own the disc, your Xbox console will also run them as if they were native copies too.
