Here’s how Tecno is making fun of Apple and Samsung

Smartphone brand Techno seems to be on a trolling spree. The company’s official Twitter handle made fun of Apple in a tweet posted yesterday (November 16). Just a day later, Techno has now made fun of the smartphone giant Samsung. Please note that the tweets are not from Techno India’s Twitter handle but the company’s global handle.
Coming to the tweets, both appear quite direct, considering that they have the respective company’s logo lookalikes in the accompanying image.
The tweets making fun of Apple and Samsung promote the company’s Phantom X flagship smartphone that was officially unveiled in June this year. On November 16, the company took a dig at Apple when it shared an image of a rotten apple with the caption “A rotten apple means it has lost its nutrients, oxidized and brought in a lot of bugs. If that’s the case, why not try other items that are fresher and more valuable? Say goodbye to no change, say hi to new! #PHANTMX #BeBoldBeExtraordinary #RedifineYourFreshlife #SayHiToNew”

In another tweet, the company has made fun of Samsung with an image similar to Samsung’s logo along with the caption: “The same melody, the same lyrics, the same song over and over again. Your ears are saying they’re exhausted with the same routines every day. 🙁 Why not try something new? You will discover more exquisite melodies.” Both the tweets come with the hashtag #PHANTOMX #BeBoldBeExtraordinary.

For those unaware, Tecno’s Phantom X falls in the same segment as the Samsung Galaxy M series and Samsung Galaxy A series. With the ‘Samesong’ logo, maybe Tecno is trying to mock the similar design of mid range Samsung smartphones launched in the last two years.
The Tecno Phantom X is currently not available in the Indian market. The smartphone features a 6.7-inch full-HD+ Super AMOLED curved display with 1080 X 2,340 pixel resolution and 90Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, the device is powered by octa-core MediaTek Helio G95 SoC with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. When it comes to camera, the phone features a 50MP + 8MP + 13MP triple camera setup at the rear and it has 48MP front camera for selfies and video calls.
