Verizon has just announced a new platform called “+play” where its customers can manage their subscriptions to content and entertainment services such as Netflix, Peleton, Disney+, and more in a single location. When you think that many of us have signed up to multiple streaming platforms covering TV, movies, gaming, music, and even books, being able to manage these services in a digital hub would be a convenient tool to have when it goes live later this year
Verizon says that its customers will be able to manage subscriptions to the following services, all in one central place:
- Disney+
- Netflix
- Discovery+
- Peloton
- WW Internation, Inc
- The Athletic
- TelevisaUnivision’s Vix+
- Live Nation’s Veeps
- A+E Networks
- AMC+
- Hulu
- ESPN
- Calm
- Duolingo
“+play is a natural extension of our core strengths. Through premium content and entertainment relationships, we have a track record as one of the largest and most successful direct to consumer platforms in the country,” said Manon Brouillette, executive vice president and CEO of Verizon Consumer Group. “We already support the management of millions of Verizon-offered content subscriptions and +play will further enhance our Mix & Match plan proposition by scaling choice through aggregation – choice of connectivity, choice of device, and now choice of content and digital services with added perks and offers in a one stop shop.”
The +play platform will be available as a trial to a limited number of Verizon customers sometime during March before rolling out on a wider basis later in 2022, with the carrier saying that this is a free service. Let us know if your think Verizon’s +play service is something you might make use of.
