SANTA ROSA BEACH, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) – We have one more Golden Apple teacher to highlight before Spring Break next week.
Congratulations to Mrs. Kendel Hanson at Dune Lakes Elementary School.
Mrs. Hanson teaches math and science to the fifth grade Sandpipers.
Hanson has been teaching for eighteen years, the last three in Walton County.
The Bay High School alumna says she is excited each day to teach the next generation of Panhandle students.
“It’s a great opportunity, it’s an amazing group of kids, great group of parents. I have a ton of support from the community, from the families, my own personal family. It’s been a great place to be,” said Hanson.
Mrs. Hanson’s Golden Apple nomination simply said she “is the best math and science teacher anyone could ask for.”
