PNY announces XLR8 Gaming REV RGB RAM that supports ‘aggressive overclocking’

PNY just announced a new DDR4 memory module with support for RGB. The XLR8 Gaming REV RGB is available with frequency speeds of either 3,200MHz or 3,600MHz. Those speeds put the module squarely in the range of the best DDR4 RAM.

The XLR8 GAming REV RGB DDR4 supports “aggressive overclocking,” according to PNY. The modules are built with chips from Micron, Samsung, and SK Hynix.

As the name suggests, the new RAM from PNY supports customizable RGB lighting. The lights are controllable from several different pieces of RGB control software, including ASUS AURA SYNC, Gigabyte RGB Fusion 2.0, MSI Mystic Light Sync, and ASRock Polychrome SYNC1.

The XLR8 GAming REV RGB DDR4 is available starting today through Amazon, Best Buy, and PNY’s website. The company has not shared pricing information at the time of publication, but we’ll update this article as soon as details are available.
