The best Cyber Monday MacBook deals for 2022

As Black Friday passes and we start heading into Cyber Monday, it’s time to take advantage of some of the best deals on MacBooks we can find. Whether you’re looking for something entry-level like the MacBook Air, or a professional-grade device like the MacBook Pro, we’ve found a few of the best Cyber Monday MacBook deals you’re likely to find. That said, we also encourage you to check out these Cyber Monday laptop deals as well, especially if you aren’t yet committed to the Apple ecosystem; you can often find laptops with similar specs at lower prices.

2020 Apple MacBook Air — $799, was $999

If you’re entering the Apple ecosystem and don’t want to pay much money for a Macbook, the 2020 Apple MacBook Air is the perfect fit and is often the gateway for most newcomers. What’s even better is that this is the updated version with Apple’s fancy new M1 chip, which not only leaps ahead of the Intel-based version but also manages to be fanless and whisper quiet. Of course, performance is excellent, and the 8GB is a great entry-level amount to keep the Air running smoothly without many hitches. The 13-inch Retina Display is also rather gorgeous and runs at 2560 x 1600 resolution with an IPS display, meaning better color reproduction. Storage is a bit on the lower end, so it might be worth subscribing to a cloud storage service to help with that. If you’re new to Apple MacBooks, then this one is the one to grab from all the Cyber Monday MacBook deals.

2022 Apple MacBook Air — $1,049, was $1,199

On the other hand, if you’re willing to pay an extra $250, this 2022 Apple MacBook Air is more versatile and likely to last you much longer. Instead of the M1 chip, it comes with the newer M2, which is much more powerful, and if you’re not familiar with it, we’ve broken down all the differences between the M1 vs. M2 for you to check out. Suffice it to say, it’s a beast, and the slightly larger 13.6-inch Liquid Retina display gives you a bit more room to work with, which we appreciate. That said, it sometimes runs hot and still only has 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage for you to work with. Still, it’s probably one of the better Cyber Monday deals if you want a new Apple MacBook.

2022 Apple MacBook Pro — $1,149, was $1,299

Moving up another notch in excellent Cyber Monday Macbook deals, we have the 2022 Apple MacBook Pro running the newest M2 chip under the hood. While there are a lot of similarities between this and the previous entry, this MacBook Pro comes with a touch bar, which is an interesting little addition to provide extra usability when doing your work. The rest of the specs remain relatively the same, with a 13-inch Retina Display, 8 GB of RAM, and 256GB of SSD space to work with. We’d probably go for one of these higher-end external hard drive deals for the latter since this MacBook is targeted as a work computer.

2021 Apple MacBook Pro 14-inch– $1,600, was $1,999

While it may seem somewhat counter-intuitive to go down a year from the 2022 Apple MacBook Pro, there are some benefits. For example, while you don’t get the newer M2 chip, you do get the M1 Pro, which is ostensibly a much more powerful chip, even though it’s slightly older. You get a much bigger 14-inch Liquid Retina XDR display with a whopping peak brightness of 1,600 nits, with 1,000 nits sustained. You also get double the RAM at 16GB, which we prefer to see nowadays on high-end laptops and computers. The same goes for the upgraded 512GB SSD, so you don’t have to rely on an external hard drive or cloud storage as much. Overall, it’s one of the best MacBook deals on the list if you want a powerful work machine.

2021 Apple MacBook Pro 16-inch — $2,000, was $2,499

If you like the 14-inch 2021 MacBook Pro and want something much more powerful, this version is the best Cyber Monday MacBook deal you’ll find. For starters, it has a massive 16-inch screen, which is the sweet spot for most laptops. It also runs the same M1 Pro chip but has two more CPU cores and two more GPU cores compared to the previous version, so you get the same performance even though you’re running the bigger screen. If you need more graphical power, you can also select a version with 32 GPU cores, which is probably more than most folks need unless you work in a professional capacity. Otherwise, RAM and Storage are the same at 16Gb and 512GB, respectively. With $500 off, we’d encourage you to grab this Cyber Monday deal if you can swing it; it’s the most significant discount on one of the best MacBooks on the market.
