New for 2023, models equipped with the Comfort Plus Package now get HD matrix LED headlights, and the Executive Package now comes with remote park assist. Exterior styling is carried over from the 2022 versions, which received a refresh. The interior also remains mostly the same, though the S8 gets a new Valcona leather option that features rhombus-shaped stitching that makes its way onto the door panels. Otherwise, the cabin retains Audi’s Virtual Cockpit 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster, as well as the 10.1-inch upper and 8.6-inch lower touchscreens. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto capability is standard, as is Amazon Alexa.

The A8 is powered by a 335-horsepower, turbocharged 3.0-liter V-6; the S8 gets a 563-hp, twin-turbo 4.0-liter V-8. An eight-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive are standard on both models. The A8 gets an EPA-rated 19/28/22 mpg city/highway/combined, while the S8 achieves 15/23/18 mpg.
