The following list includes recent reports from the Midland County Sheriff’s Office and the Midland Police Department. Compiled by reporter Tereasa Nims.
11:26 p.m. – Deputies, assisted by Midland Police, checked the residence of a 26-year-old Ingersoll Township woman for suspicious activity. Nothing suspicious was found.
11:46 p.m. – A deputy responded to a Lincoln Township residence for a delayed car-deer crash in Ingersoll Township. A crash report was completed.
7:56 p.m. – Police were dispatched to a drunken driver with a revoked license at E. Ashman Street and Stratford Woods Drive.
6 p.m. – A deputy responded to an Edenville Township residence for a report of loud music being played. The deputy spoke with a 30-year-old man, who agreed to turn the music down. The man was educated about the township ordinances and its authority to enforce them at its discretion.
3 p.m. – A passerby saw a small child with her dogs in the roadway. She returned the child to her house and left her on the porch. The passerby called 911 approximately 15 minutes later. A deputy located the child at her residence. The 3-year-old had opened the door and snuck out. She was back home with her father, who said he would be installing a lock that the child cannot reach.
12:11 p.m. – A deputy was dispatched to meet with a neighboring agency to pick up a 44-year-old man on a Midland County warrant. The man was lodged at Midland County Jail.
9:33 a.m. – A deputy struck a deer in Porter Township. A crash report was completed.

9:32 a.m. – Police responded to investigate a fraud complaint in the 1500 block of East Sugnet Road.
9:10 a.m. – A deputy was dispatched to a Porter Township residence for a 63-year-old man being in the caller’s yard. It was determined the man had a mental health condition, and proper action was taken. The 66-year-old male caller was advised on the outcome.
8:40 a.m. – Midland County Sheriff’s Office detectives received a referral from Adult Protective Services regarding an alleged financial exploitation of a 69-year-old Homer Township woman. Contact was made with the woman, who was determined to not be vulnerable. The woman advised that she met a person online and subsequently sent this person $10,000 in funds via Bitcoin. The suspect is overseas, and this was determined to be a fraud. The woman is working with her financial institution to rectify the situation.
7:49 a.m. – Police responded to Vance and East Penrod roads for a property damage crash.
