We’re always being told that flossing your teeth is important but, let’s be honest, it’s a fiddly process. So you can imagine my delight when I was offered a tech solution for this tiresome daily routine.
This simple, cheap gadget claims it can give your pearly whites a spring clean in just 30 seconds, using a powerful jet of water instead of the usual picks and threads.
Available on Amazon for less than £40, Cordless Water Dental Flosser has a built-in battery that charges off USB, and below its control unit sits a reservoir that can be filled with water.
This water is propelled through one of two types of nozzle, both of which are supplied, into the gaps in your teeth, flushing out plaque, bacteria, and food debris.
It does take a bit of getting used to, I’ll be honest. But once you’ve controlled the drooling, and perfected your “aim”, it’s surprisingly effective.
There are pressure settings to ensure you’re not overdoing things, and the battery seems to go on forever. The 300ml water tank lasts more than long enough for a nice, deep clean, too.
Bitvae, I must confess, is a name I hadn’t heard of, but the build quality is superb. I’ve also tried the firm’s flagship D2 electric toothbrush, which was also impressive.
There’s little to dislike about the Cordless Water Dental Flosser. It does take some getting used to, but it really does flush out some gunk from your teeth, and leaves you with a nice, clean feeling in your mouth.
And you can’t ask for any more than that from it.
