An image purporting showing USB-C connectors for the iPhone 15 range has been leaked, further backing up claims that the Lightning port will go.
Now a new image from two leakers on X (aka Twitter), purports to show the USB-C charging port components for the iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, and iPhone 15 Pro Max.
There are no further details, nor confirmation of where the components came from — or why there doesn’t appear to be one for the iPhone 15 Pro.
The company has long switched from Lightning to USB-C for the iPad. However, in the case of the iPhone it and all smartphone manufacturers have come under pressure from the European Union to adopt USB-C as a single standard, meaning users will be able to more easily use other people’s charging cables.
