If you are using headphones in the water, you need them to be waterproofed. Thankfully, the Naenka Runner Diver 2 Bone Conducting headphones are rated to IP68 standards. Accordingly, you are assured that these headphones can remain submerged at a depth of 1 metre for 30 minutes. However, this is overkill, as swimmers rarely stay submerged for that long. Accordingly, I was reassured that this rating was more than suitable for the job at hand.
The waterproofed status was further supported thanks to the excellent inclusion of an MP3 mode. A whopping 32 Gb storage allows up to 8000 songs to be transferred to these headphones. As such, you no longer need to worry about Bluetooth or your mobile phone. Instead, you can install your songs, jump in the water, and get on with your session.
Word of warning, though, you must make sure that you disconnect your headphones from your phone. If you do not do this, the device will try to connect any time it comes in range. This is a minor problem, but something that could be problematic.

These comfortable plugs come in 3 sizes and sit just inside your ear. Whenever you use them, the music sounds crisp and immersive. Furthermore, you enjoy a pleasant range of tones and a deep and hearty bass line. However, without them, the audio is still exceptional. Additionally, I’d say it is comparable with the market-leading Shokz headset.
A fantastic device no matter the exercise.
I’m a bit of an all-rounder. As such, these headphones were tested in a range of conditions. Whether I was running across a windy trail, pushing myself through choppy water, or tackling the traffic on my road bike, they never let me down. Occasionally, however, they needed a helping hand due to extreme external noises. When this happened, I simply applied the provided earplugs, and the problems melted away.
Alongside this, I had no issues with the headphones moving or slipping. The tight and comfortable design stuck to my head like glue. As such, I never feared that they would become dislodged. What’s more, they remained just in front of my ears to optimise sound quality.
Usability.

Build quality.
Sports equipment has to be comfortable and easy to look after. Luckily, thanks to the three-layered material and the Seahorse design, these headphones are pleasant to wear.
