At CES 2024, Hyper has something for everyone with an extensive array of new products set to be released throughout the year, including SSD enclosures, Thunderbolt 5 docks, Qi2 chargers, GaN power supplies, and more.
On the connectivity side, Hyper has its first MagSafe USB-C SSD enclosure. It has a tiny form factor that magnetically connects to the back of your iPhone for capturing ProRes video during recording.
It also features a dedicated USB-C PD input to power up your iPhone while you are filming. Made of recycled aluminum, it’s priced at $39.99 for its Q2 launch.
Hyper also has a sleek USB 4 NVMe SSD Duo enclosure that holds two PCIe Gen4 NVMe SSD modules. Real-time performance metrics, capacity, and health stats are displayed on the built-in LCD.
Like the brand’s other offerings, it has a tool-less, driver-less setup for its aluminum enclosure and supports USB-C PD 3.1 for power delivery up to 140W.
It too releases in Q2 for $179.99.
Hyper is also showing off its first Thunderbolt 5 dock. While backward compatible with Thunderbolt 4, Thunderbolt 5 devices can take advance of up to 80Gbps of bandwidth.
There’s support for internal storage, housing a PCIe Gen4 M.2 NVMe SSD. On the front is a full-sized SD card slot and a CFExpress Type B slot of next-generation media.
The onboard Ethernet port supports up to 5Gbps and the upstream Thunderbolt connection supports USB-C PD 3.1 with up to 140W of power.
It has a physical power button, three downstream Thunderbolt 5 ports, a dedicated headset port, and three USB-A ports for older peripherals.
When it launches in Q3 2024 it will be priced at $399.
There are several Qi2 devices being shown off by Hyper, including a new version of its 4-in-1 collapsable multi-charger and a pocketable 3-in-1.
The 3-in-1 charger has a 10,000mAh battery, a fast-charging Apple Watch puck, and a 20W USB-C input/output port. A 1/4-inch thread also allows it to be connected to a tripod.
Finally, there is a travel Qi2 puck that has a Qi2 charger on one side and a fast-charging Apple Watch puck on the other. A metal stand also pivots out to turn it into a stand.
The 4-in-1 charger will come to market at $149.99 in Q2, the 3-in-1 battery also arrives in Q2 for $129.99, and the Qi2 puck will be $119 in Q3.
Several battery packs are launching from Hyper this year, but we were most enthralled by the brand’s braided USB-C cable that has an integrated 5,000mAh battery in the middle.
With the battery in the middle of the cable, it will always stay charged. It’s priced at $49.99 with a release in Q3 of this year.
Other releases from Hyper include its first desk mats, new MagSafe stands, and plenty of USB-C hubs to cater to various users.
