Thin And Light
At just 9.9mm thick when closed, the Magic V2 is the thinnest foldable around, and yet it still packs a big (for a foldable) 5,000mAh battery with 66W SuperCharge. When the display is extended, the phone is just 4.7mm thick at its thinnest point.
Powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, the Magic V2 also features 16GB of RAM and up to 1TB of built-in UFS 4.0 storage. The cover display is 6.43-inches in size with 2376 x 1060 resolution, up to 120Hz refresh rate, and up to 2,500 nits peak brightness. While the Magic V2 doesn’t feature a built-in stylus, it supports their use on both OLED displays.
The internal panel is 7.92 inches big and boasts a 2344 x 2156 resolution, with up to 120Hz refresh rate. The Magic V2 features 3840Hz PWM Dimming and has been awarded TUV Rheinland Flicker Free certification. As with the Magic 5 Pro, the Magic V2 also has a Circadian Night Display, which also helps those with sensitive eyes avoid undue strain from blue light.
Packing a 50MP main camera with OIS, a 50MP ultra-wide lens, and a 20MP telephoto lens with 40x digital zoom and OIS, the Magic V2 isn’t lacking in the photography department. You’ll find a single 16MP camera on the cover and internal display.
There’s support for Bluetooth 5.3 and dual-band WiFi up to 6E, and the wraparound antenna ensures great reception. Symmetrical stereo dual speakers with IMAX Enhanced certification are present, and there’s also support for 24but HDR MIC stereo voice reception. The Magic V2 launches running MagicOS 7.2 out of the box based on Android 13, although Honor has recently announced the launch of MagicOS 8.0, which will undoubtedly roll out to the handset in the coming months.
Weighing in at just 231g, a feat aided by the new super-light titanium hinge, the Magic V2 will go on sale in Black, Silk Black, Silk Purple, and Gold colorways.
