The Poco M6 comes with a dual-camera setup. Though its predecessor, the Poco M5, came with triple cameras, the M6 boasts an overall better camera performance.

The credit goes to the 108MP Samsung ISOCELL HM6 lens with a 1/1.67-inch sensor size, which serves as its primary camera. It supports up to 3X lossless zoom, which is not as crystal clear as optical zoom but is still impressive considering the M6 is a budget phone.

The primary sensor is accompanied by a 2MP macro lens, allowing you to capture close-up shots. At the front, you’ll find a 13MP camera, which is a big upgrade from the Poco M5’s 5MP front shooter.

Display, Chipset, and Other Specs

For the display, the Poco M6 rocks a big 6.79-inch FHD LCD, with a screen resolution of 2460x1080p and a refresh rate of up to 90Hz. It has a contrast ratio of 1500:1 while the brightness peaks at 550 nits. It’s also TÜV Rheinland Low Blue Light-certified, meaning that it will emit less blue light for the comfort of your eyes.

Under the hood, you get MediaTek’s Helio G91 Ultra chipset, the same we saw in the Redmi 13 last week. It’s built on a 6nm process and has an octa-core CPU with two Cortex A75 cores and six Cortex A55 cores. The graphics department is handled by Arm’s Mali-G52 GPU. Unfortunately, the chipset is 4G only, so you won’t be able to enjoy 5G speeds.

While the Poco M6 brings upgrades to most of the specs over the Poco M5, it sees a slight downgrade with its chipset. The M5 came with a more powerful Helio G99 chipset – which we’ve also seen on countless other budget phones before.

Talking about the battery, the Poco M6 sports a 5,300mAh battery, which supports up to 33W fast charging. Poco says that the phone will fully charge from 0 in around 70 minutes. There’s also a 3.5mm audio jack on the phone, and if you still haven’t moved past the wired trend, that’s another reason for you to buy it. For biometrics, the Poco M6 has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.

Pricing and Availability

The Poco M6 will go on sale starting June 11. The 6GB+128GB variant is priced at £159, while the 8GB+256GB variant costs £179. Interestingly, if you purchase the phone during the early-bird period, from June 11 to June 17, the 6GB+128GB variant will be available for just £129, and the 8GB+256GB for £149.
