Trump suggested that the U.S. government could consider “issuing small crypto checks” to repay the national debt. He emphasized that Bitcoin, as an asset with a limited supply, could absorb and transform U.S. dollar inflation into a new system based on sound money and blockchain technology. This idea is part of a broader strategy to maintain U.S. dominance in global markets and trade.
Trump’s proposal comes at a time when the U.S. government continues to devalue the dollar by printing more money to repay previous debts. This practice has led to a rapid increase in the national debt, which is growing by approximately $1 trillion every three months.

The Wyoming senator aims for the U.S. Treasury to acquire 5% of the total Bitcoin supply and to hold this rare decentralized asset for at least 20 years.
