Lenovo ThinkPad X1 2-in-1 (Gen 9) review: Great battery life and a versatile design but lacking in performance


Lenovo is one of the top brands that comes to mind when looking for a reliable business laptop or 2-in-1 device. It’s largely thanks to the company’s ThinkPad X1 Series, a professional staple for many years. The ThinkPad is perhaps best known for its iconic TrackPoint, a red analog stick embedded in the keyboard. 

Over the last two weeks, I’ve spent my workdays and evening downtime using the new Lenovo ThinkPad X1 2-in-1 (Gen 9.) This 2-in-1 has an optional Lenovo Slim Pen and can be folded backward into a tablet. I’ve run it through various benchmarks and monitored its performance as part of testing, and here’s what I’ve discovered about this versatile device.
