The Best Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold Cases In 2024

Tudia’s MergeGrip case for the Pixel 9 Pro Fold is my case of choice because of everything it brings. It’s a little costly, but you get a solid hard-shell case along with a built-in screen protector. You get raised lips around the screen and camera as you’d expect. But the best part is that this case is MagSafe compatible, to give you that Qi2-like functionality that Google left out.

Spigen cases generally aren’t as expensive as this, but not only is this a case for a foldable device, but it prioritizes all-around protection. You get a TPU spine to cover the hinge and protect that vulnerable point from impacts (most foldable cases leave the hinge exposed). There’s also a notably raised lip around the cover display to keep that safe. It’s a basic but good-looking case that will do its job.

I’m currently rocking a Caseology Parallax case on my daily driver, so I’m a huge fan of what you get for the price. The case is cheap and offers plenty of protection for your Pixel 9 Pro. You get a stylish textured design to cover the back panel and improve grip. There’s military-grade protection too, so it guards your phone while looking snazzy.

If you want to provide all-around protection for your $1,799 device, but you don’t want to spend that much, this case does the job. It is as plain as a black case can get but it throws in a built-in screen protector for a bit of extra protection. The only major downside is the texture is smooth and it doesn’t help with grip.

I think the Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold is a gorgeous phone that should be shown off as much as possible, but if you only care about protecting your device (and not showing off your phone), the Poetic Spartan kits it up like Iron Man with a thick, hard shell all around, including hinge protection and a built-in screen protector. It even has a kickstand. Needless to say, this is military grade.

OtterBox is a popular name in smartphone protection and they offer it for foldables too. The OtterBox Thin Flex case is less bulky than what I’m used to from the company, but it is still tested to military standard and it will do what it needs to protect your device reliably without erasing its identity entirely. It will set you back by a bit though.

If you like the vegan leather finish that a lot of Chinese manufacturers rely on for their high-end devices, you can get a case that blesses your Pixel 9 Pro Fold with that. This case from X-Level has a vegan leather back panel that comes in black, brown, blue, and green. I’m surprised at how much I like the blue colorway. Of course, it offers basic protection for your device and it’s affordable.

Spigen’s foldable cases are a tad more expensive than its case for bar phones, but that shouldn’t be surprising since foldables are basically twice as much device. If you want to keep your new Pixel foldable protected but you don’t want to compromise on showing it off, this clear case does the job. Spigen promises anti-yellowing tech to keep it staying clear for much longer.
