Visible Wants To Poach T-Mobile Customers With A $15 Plan

Do you know what a Mobile Virtual Network Operator, or MVNO, is? Think of it like a smaller carrier that uses the established infrastructure of a bigger carrier to run its business. MVNOs aren’t necessarily owned by the company though Visible, as an example, is an MVNO that runs on Verizon’s infrastructure and is also owned by it.

Despite being one of the smaller players though, Visible is certainly making bold moves, coming at one of the big three: T-Mobile. If you port your T-Mobile line over to Visible, you’ll be able to get a discounted $15 monthly plan, with that price locked in for you for five years.

Visible Is Beckoning Unhappy T-Mobile Subscribers To Come Over To Its Side Of The Party

The mobile carrier space in the United States is one of the most cutthroat markets that consumers can find. The competition is constantly trying to set lower prices or bring forth sweeter deals to entice you towards them. In some cases, they even directly target the opposition and bring exclusive offers that you can only take advantage of if you switch from a specific camp to theirs. That’s what Visible is doing right now.

If you’re a T-Mobile subscriber, Visible has an offer for you and it is pretty sweet, just looking at it. If you’re on the market for a new unlimited 5G plan, porting your number over from T-Mobile to Visible will drop what would ordinarily be a $25 monthly plan to $15. That’s a 40% discount, and the very best part is that if you use it, you’re going to be getting that $15 rate locked in for you for the next five years. Well, wow.

Like I said, the competition is crazy in that space. However, the most important thing you need to know is that if you want to get this deal, you need to use the BYEBYETMO coupon code when checking out, after which you’ll have 30 days to port a T-Mobile number. If you don’t, you’ll end up paying the regular $25 rate. You can check out more on this plan here.

This Is Merely A Revenge Shot From Visible Back At A Similar Move From Mint Mobile

Here’s where things get really interesting though. This offer from Visible is hardly novel and is merely a shot back at Mint Mobile, which is a T-Mobile MVNO (and recently acquired by T-Mobile). Mint offered users from both AT&T and Verizon the chance to switch over and get a three-month plan for just $45, with the added perk of four additional lines for absolutely free for that three-month period.

That means you could get five lines on an unlimited plan, one for each member of the family, and each one of those would break down to an average of $3 per line for each of those three months. That’s a bargain if I’ve ever seen one.

I think that the mobile carrier space is a great place to demonstrate why competition in markets is a very good thing. You’ve got to entice the customers and that means either building a better product or providing better value.
