Uppababy Just Redesigned Its Popular Vista Stroller. We Tested It Out.

In the stroller world, Uppababy occupies an enviable position: It’s a company that many parents love, recommend, and generally rave about.

In particular, Uppababy has become a favorite of city parents who use strollers as the primary means of moving around small children (and their abundance of stuff). In a 2022 Wirecutter survey of 759 stroller owners, one-third of respondents said they owned an Uppababy stroller, and 96% of those people said they were moderately or extremely satisfied with the purchase.

Unlike some companies, which boast a complex and inscrutable lineup of strollers, Uppababy has only a few basic options, designed to meet different needs. Those include Uppababy’s single stroller, the Cruz V2 (one of five picks in our full-size stroller guide); its travel stroller, the Minu V2 (our travel pick); and its convertible stroller, the Vista V2, which we recommend as the most-luxe double stroller.

Later this fall, Uppababy will introduce the Vista V3, a slightly snazzier version of the popular convertible stroller. I’ve tested both the V2 and the V3, as well as the Cruz and the Minu, and while each one has its merits, I think most parents should err on the side of “less is more” when considering their stroller needs.
