Here’s Our First Glimpse At The Samsung Galaxy A56’s Design

Samsung’s A series is its best-selling smartphone series. When you think about it, it beats the S series for that prize for pretty obvious reasons. Most importantly, the phones aren’t close to as expensive, yet they still provide enough on the spec sheet for those who care.

The Samsung Galaxy A56 will be the top entry in the next generation of the A series, so those who love good specs but don’t want to drop nearly a thousand dollars for an S series phone will be paying a lot of attention. Here’s the first look at the upcoming device to grab your interest.

The Samsung Galaxy A56 Will Come With One Noticeable Design Change

Samsung sticking very closely to one design theme through its entire catalog of bar phones is a good thing, since it means you can get the design language of its premium phones for less. For me though, I’m not too fond of it, because it makes the company’s portfolio too similar. Sometimes it’s nice to have each line stick out in its own unique way.

Well, good news for me and people like me. The design of the Samsung Galaxy A56 has just been leaked by Android Headlines, and even though it’s clear that Samsung wasn’t trying to break its back to do anything vastly different, there is one significant design chance, and it is enough to make the A series instantly distinguishable. I like that.

The leaked renders of the Samsung Galaxy A56 show a change in the camera module. Instead of having three circular lenses which are all isolated, the South Korean OEM has chosen to hide the three lenses within a long oval camera module. It’s blacked-out too. This means that the cameras are in roughly the same position, but with a look that is very clearly new.

This Design Change Is Coming For The Entire Galaxy A Series

This isn’t the first Galaxy AX6 device that we’re seeing leaked renders for. We’ve already seen what the Galaxy A26 is going to look like, so we’ve gotten a sneak peek at this design change prior. However, what this shows is that if something near the bottom of the pack and the device at the top of the series both share the same design modification, it is certainly going to be present in the entire series.

My only hope is that Samsung won’t use the A series to launch its new design language. If it plans to, that means that the rest of its smartphones, potentially including the Galaxy S26 series, will eventually look like this too. That sort of beats the uniqueness I was hoping for.

This Will Be The First A Series Smartphone To Get 45W Wired Charging

Samsung has never been keen on improving the charging speeds of its devices. Since 2019 when the Galaxy Note 10+ was introduced, 45W charging has been the company’s max, and even then, you’re mostly only going to find it with the higher-end models in the Galaxy S lineup.

However, the Galaxy A56 has been certified in China, confirming 45W fast charging, for the first time, in an A series smartphone. While I won’t hold my breath regarding 45W charging coming to the rest of the A series, it is a good sign for those who are attracted to the A56.
