Android 15 has been out and about for several months now, and every serious smartphone manufacturer has already started cranking out updates to their existing devices (with the notable exception of Samsung, but don’t let me start yapping about that, or I won’t stop).
OnePlus’ take on Android 15 comes in the form of OxygenOS 15 and the OEM has already started pushing it out to some of its existing devices; smartphones and tablets. That’s just the start of things though. Let’s talk about the OnePlus devices that have Android 15 already and those that are more than likely to get it soon enough.
Here Are The OnePlus Devices That Have Already Started Receiving Android 15
OnePlus might not have been the very first out of the gate in the race to release Android 15 to its consumers (that award goes to Vivo), but they came in at a good pace, regardless. At the moment, quite a few OnePlus devices already have OxygenOS 15 available to them.
No matter where you are in the world, if you have any of the following OnePlus devices, then OxygenOS 15 is already available:
Some OnePlus devices have started getting the OxygenOS 15 update, but only in India for now. However, that means that they will eventually be available globally, likely before the year ends. Those devices include:
- OnePlus 11
- OnePlus Pad
- OnePlus Nord 4
- OnePlus Nord CE4
- OnePlus Nord CE4 Lite 5G
This is pretty accurate when compared to the rollout timeline that OnePlus released earlier this year. Only one device slated for this year hasn’t received its update, and that’s the OnePlus 11R, so we can expect it to roll out in India pretty soon.
Here Are The OnePlus Devices That Are Very Likely To Get Android 15 In Coming Months
At the moment, we expect the OnePlus 11R to get its Android 15 update next, along with global rollouts for the other devices that have already started rolling out in specific regions.
At the moment, the following devices have not gotten OxygenOS 15 anywhere in the world, but we expect that to change in January and February:
- OnePlus 10 Pro
- OnePlus 10T
- OnePlus 10R
- OnePlus Nord 3
- OnePlus Nord CE 3
What Does OxygenOS 15 Bring To The Table For OnePlus Devices
If your device hasn’t gotten OxygenOS 15 yet, you might be wondering why you should be anticipating it. What does it bring to the table for you? That’s a good question, and of course, there’s a lot that new major Android versions add to the mix.
For one, OnePlus has stated that OxygenOS 15 puts a lot of focus on speed and smoothness, especially by improving animations and the fluidity of the software. By default, notifications and quick settings are now split, just like One UI 7, but you’ll be able to turn that off. You also get new AI features, Open Canvas for better multitasking, Circle to Search, and Live Alerts (kind of like Dynamic Island on iPhones).
