Generative AI dominated legal tech

The year 2024 has been a momentous year for legal technology. Generative artificial intelligence continues to gain traction in an industry not known for adopting tech quickly or efficiently.

More money is flowing into legal tech than ever before, as several gigantic deals dominated the headlines and enlarged quite a few bank accounts. And the push for regulatory reform extended to attorney admissions—between a demand for an online bar exam and an exploration of alternative pathways to licensure, one of the longtime pillars of the legal profession could be ready to make way.

That’s just a few of the topics that will be covered in this special year-in-review episode of the Legal Rebels Podcast.

In this episode, Nicole Black, the principal legal insight strategist at AffiniPay—the parent company of LawPay, MyCase, Casepeer and Docketwise—speaks with the ABA Journal’s Victor Li. She is a nationally recognized author of Cloud Computing for Lawyers and is a co-author of Social Media for Lawyers: The Next Frontier, both published by the ABA. She is also a regular columnist for the ABA Journal.
