Genmoji comes to Mac with macOS Sequoia 15.3 beta

Apple recently introduced Genmoji with iOS 18.2, which lets iPhone and iPad users create their own emoji using Apple Intelligence. Although the feature wasn’t included in the macOS 15.2 update, Genmoji is now available on the Mac with the first beta of macOS Sequoia 15.3.

As confirmed by 9to5Mac, macOS 15.3 beta 1 – which was released to developers on Monday – finally enables Genmoji for Mac users. The button to create a new Genmoji can be found in the macOS emoji picker. Users can describe the emoji they want to create, then Apple Intelligence will turn the words into a Genmoji. You can try basically anything.

Genmojis are generated on-device, which means they only work on iPhones, iPads, and now Macs compatible with Apple Intelligence. This means iPhone 15 Pro or later, or iPads and Macs with the M1 chip or later (also works with iPad mini 7).
