Apple is ready to help start 2025 on the right foot. A new Apple Watch Activity Challenge has been set for January, encouraging you to “Ring in the New Year” by closing all three rings for seven days in a row.
The “Ring in the New Year Challenge” will run from January 7 through January 31. Apple says:
Ring in the New Year Challenge: Let’s start 2025 off right. Earn this award by closing all three rings for seven days in a row in January.
Apple Watch Activity Challenges are meant to promote using the watch for fitness and act as a way for Apple to guide users into taking advantage of the workout tracking features. Apple has held this Ring in the New Year Challenge most years since 2016.
If you successfully complete the challenge with any workout app that logs data to Apple’s Fitness app, you’ll unlock the virtual achievement on the iPhone, Apple Watch, and in Apple’s Messages app. You’ll also gain access to exclusive stickers that can be used in the Messages app, FaceTime, and more.
You can also complete the challenge using Apple Fitness+, which is Apple’s own workout service that offers a variety of different categories of content.
Will you participate in this “Ring in the New Year” challenge on your Apple Watch? Are you planning any fitness goals for 2025 with help from your Apple Watch? Let us know down in the comments!
