New Apple Store openings aren’t as frequent as they used to be, but Apple continues to launch its retail locations both in the US and around the globe. Here are the locations planned for opening this year in the US, and a peek into Apple’s plans abroad too.
Three new US Apple Stores expected in 2025
This weekend, Mark Gurman at Bloomberg published an overview of Apple’s lineup for 2025.
While most of Gurman’s focus was on hardware launches, he also detailed the company’s plans for new Apple Stores coming to the US and around the world.
In the US, there are only about three new openings planned.
- Apple Miami Worldcenter
- Apple Bradley Fair at a mall in Wichita, Kansas
- and ‘possibly’ a Downtown Detroit location
Gurman notes that an existing Apple Store in Ann Arbor, Michigan may also relocate and ‘get an upgrade.’
While the first two sound certain—and Miami Worldcenter has already been announced as opening January 24—Gurman isn’t as confident about the Detroit location yet.
It’s a short list, which likely reflects both shifting trends as more shoppers make online purchases, and also Apple’s focus on other markets outside the US.
Plans for global Apple Store debuts
Looking beyond the US market, Gurman gets a little less specific but highlights a variety of territories being targeted by Apple.
He mentions that the first Apple Store of the year will open January 18 in Hefei China. It will be located at the MixC mall.
Beyond that, there are new openings planned for at least six countries. Brand new stores or relocation projects are coming to:
- Australia
- Canada
- China (including Shanghai and Beijing)
- France
- Germany
- India
No further details are available at this time. But we’ll keep you posted as Apple makes official announcements concerning its retail openings throughout the year.
