Apple has finally introduced the Apple Store in India, which now provides users with customization options and the ability to buy from Apple directly via the app.

Apple has been quickly expanding its presence in India, both in terms of manufacturing and in retail. Now, it has moved to the next step of retail, by launching the Apple Store app in the country.

The app, downloadable from the App Store, lets users buy directly from Apple, like they would from the website or from a physical Apple Store location. Using the app, customers will be able to receive personalized recommendations for their shopping cart.

Along with buying products, the Apple Store app also handles things like product customization. Customers can change the configuration of the Mac, or add engravings to accessories like AirPods and AirTag.

The app also provides ways to learn about Apple products and services, retail programs, and financing options.

As part of the ordering process, customers can choose to have their orders delivered directly to them, or to be arranged for pick-up. This can be done at Apple’s first two stores in the country, in Delhi and Mumbai, with more stores also planned for Bengaluru, Pune, Delhi-NCR, and Mumbai.

The four new stores are expected to open by the end of 2025.

“At Apple, our customer is at the centre of everything we do, and we are thrilled to introduce the Apple Store app to reach even more users in India, further deepening our connections,” said Apple head of Retail Online Karen Rasmussen. “With the Apple Store app, customers will discover a new and seamless way to shop for all our incredible products, receive personalised support, and really experience the best of Apple.”
