While your racks and trays soak, you can turn your attention to cleaning the interior of your oven.
Spray the water and dishwashing-liquid mixture on the walls, floor, and door of the oven. Easy does it—don’t let the liquid pool on the bottom of the oven. Avoid getting liquid inside the convection-fan vent (if your model has one).
Make sure not to spray the heating elements or metal guards that encase them (if your model has them). You can wipe the guards with a damp cloth, but if the elements have burnt-on grease, the Cuisinart expert we spoke with said to leave them be, as the high heat will eventually burn it off with use.
After spraying, use a damp towel or nonabrasive sponge to wipe down the inside of the oven.
If any spots remain, cover them with a rag or paper towel dampened with the cleaning mixture and let them sit for 30 to 40 minutes. Then spray and wipe those areas down once more with a towel or a nonabrasive sponge
