Starting Wednesday, fans in over 100 countries can sign up for Apple’s MLS Season Pass so they don’t miss a second of the 2025 soccer season.
2025 marks Major League Soccer’s 30th anniversary season, and Apple TV is gearing up to bring you every single game. It also marks the third year of Apple’s 10-year partnership with Major League Soccer.
“MLS Season Pass delivers fans exactly what they want, connecting them with the game they love across all of their devices, with no blackouts,” said Eddy Cue, Apple’s senior vice president of Services.
“Heading into our third year with MLS, we’re excited to continue elevating the fan experience and can’t wait for the season to begin.”
The 2025 season also marks the arrival of the 30th MLS team, San Diego FC.
Apple is ready to kick off the season by broadcasting select preseason matches. This includes the February 11 match between LAFC faces reigning Liga MX Apertura 2024 champion Club America, and Inter Miami’s final preseason friendly against Orlando City SC on February 14.
On February 22 and 23, all 30 soccer clubs will return for MLS is Back weekend. MLS MVP Lionel Messi and Inter Miami CF will host New York City FC in the first match of the season at 2:30 PM ET. These matches will be available to stream for free for Apple TV+ subscribers.
Sunday Night Soccer
New for the 30th season, MLS Season Pass is introducing Sunday Night Soccer. Each week on Sunday evening, MLS Season Pass will broadcast a featured game of the week with “with enhanced production and dedicated studio programming,” according to Apple.
The primetime matches will air throughout the regular season and are designed to highlight particularly compelling games. Sunday Night Soccer will feature dedicated pre- and postgame shows and custom graphics in English and Spanish. Additionally, all Sunday Night Soccer matches will be available for free streaming to Apple TV+ subscribers.
The first Sunday Night Soccer matchup will showcase the league’s newest franchise, San Diego FC, as it debuts against reigning MLS Cup champions LA Galaxy. The match will take place on February 23 at 7:00 PM ET.
MLS Season Pass special offers
This year, soccer fans have access to two notable MLS Season Pass special offers from T-Mobile, Comcast, and DirecTV.
T-Mobile is giving qualified T-Mobile and Metro by T-Mobile customers the chance to snag an MLS Season Pass for free. T-Mobile customers can redeem for a limited time through T-Mobile Tuesdays in the T-Life app, starting February 18.
Apple has collaborated with Comcast to provide an integrated viewing experience for MLS Season Pass subscribers. This partnership allows Xfinity customers to access all live matches directly within the Xfinity user interface, making it convenient for them to find and watch the action alongside other live programming.
The partnership also gives Xfinity customers free access to “MLS 360,” the popular whip-around studio show. Fans can tune in for live look-ins for every match without an MLS Season Pass.
Xfinity can get a free preview of the MLS Season Pass from February 22 until March 2. Then, customers will be able to sign up for the MLS Season Pass directly through Xfinity.
DirecTV residential customers can also subscribe to MLS Season Pass directly through DirecTV. Matches will be available to watch live in the DirecTV satellite guide on channels 480 through 495.
DirecTV customers also get a free preview of MLS Season Pass from February 22 until March 1.
Even more ways to celebrate
Apple has gone all out for this historic 30th season, giving soccer fans plenty of bonus content to check out.
On February 21, Apple TV+ will premiere the highly anticipated eight-part panoramic documentary event “Onside: Major League Soccer.” The docuseries showcases players, coaches, and clubs, and explores the best moments that made the 2024 so memorable.
The Apple Sports app has rolled out new features, including an expanded soccer experience, providing game information for the FA Cup, EFL, Championship, and League Cup.
Apple Music is offering exclusive club- and player-curated playlists that will be updated throughout the season.
Apple Podcast boasts the MLS Hub, which features curated podcast episodes and collections covering MLS, its clubs and players, and soccer in North America.
And, if you happen to be located near certain Apple Stores located in the U.S., Canada, and Mexico, you can stop in to watch MLS matches during the MLS is Back weekend.
Signing up for the MLS Season Pass
Soccer fanatics can sign up for MLS Season Pass for $14.99 per month during the season, or $99 for the full season. Apple TV+ subscribers can sign up at a special price of $12.99 per month, or $79 per season.
MLS Season Pass is shareable via Apple’s Family Sharing, allowing up to six family members to share the membership using their own Apple IDs.
