Apple didn’t include MagSafe support in the iPhone 16e. These cases will add back that magnetic magic.
The brand-new iPhone 16e is unusual for the iPhone 16 series, as it’s the only model that doesn’t specifically support MagSafe. It does work with Qi wireless chargers, but it completely lacks the ring of MagSafe magnets that lets it connect to MagSafe chargers and accessories.
If you’ve already invested in a bunch of MagSafe accessories, you’ll find they won’t work with the iPhone 16e, unless you make an adaptation to the smartphone. You have to add magnetic ability back in.
Yes, you can get hold of MagSafe stickers on Amazon and elsewhere as one avenue, but you probably won’t want to stick them directly to the back of your iPhone 16e. Instead, you could get a case that adds back MagSafe support.
Doing so that way means you’ll regain support for MagSafe accessories, all without semi-permanently marring the back of your new iPhone.
Here are the iPhone 16e cases AppleInsider believes you should get to solve the problem.
ESR HaloLock Cyber Tough Case
Made for durability, the ESR HaloLock Cyber Tough Case offers a three-layer structure including a hard shell, TPE soft shell, and inner Poron lining in the corners to protect from drops and knocks. There are also raised edges around the display and camera, minimizing the chance of scratches when laying it on a surface.
At the same time, it includes the MagSafe ring in the back, so it can be connected up to other accessories. Available in red or black, it’s priced at $22.99 from ESR’s online store, but it’s currently on sale at Amazon with a flash deal.
UAG Essential Armor
The protective Essential Armor iPhone 16e Case from UAG is a rugged case that includes MagSafe compatibility. Using a co-molded construction, it’s a lightweight case that has an impact-resistant soft core and can survive drops of up to 15 feet.
It also has a protective screen surround, clickable tactile buttons, and even has anchor points for a lanyard for extra carrying options. Sold in five colors, it’s priced at $39.95 from UAG on Amazon.
UAG Pathfinder Clear
If you want to still be able to see the back of your iPhone 16e, the UAG Pathfinder Clear could be an option. Using a transparent design, it has an ultra-lightweight armor shell with an impact-resistant frame for shock and drop protection.
It also has a raised perimeter for the display, TPU bumpers at the corners, lanyard anchor points, and a magnet module enabling MagSafe connectivity. The case is priced at $54.95 from UAG on Amazon.
Rokform Rugged Case
The Rokform Rugged Case for iPhone 16e boasts military-grade protection from drops thanks to its tough polycarbonate shell and reinforced corners.
Its design provides 360-degree protection, including coverage of the screen, corners, and camera.
While it includes MagMax, its N52 Neodymium magnet system for use with MagSafe, it also has the RokLock twist lock system for mounting to accessories, such as bike mounts. It’s priced at $69.99 for the case alone from Rokform directly, with shipments from March 17.
Mous Limitless 6.0 Walnut
The Limitless 6.0 is the latest version of its flagship case, offering a sleek appearance that’s 25% thinner than its predecessor. While slimmer, it’s still using AiroShock to protect the corners, top, and bottom of the iPhone 16e, with rigid materials offering further protection.
Raised edges, a heat-stamped microfiber lining, and side eyelets are also included, as well as an integrated MagSafe-compatible magnetic array. Shipping February 28 from Mous directly, it is priced at $64.99.
Mous Clarity 3.0
A clear case from Mous, the Clarity 3.0 still offers the same AiroShock protection as the Limitless 6.0, with reinforced corners and rigid materials for drop and shock protection. Raised edges and rippled grip ribs help keep it away from scratchy surfaces and in your hand for longer.
While clear, there is still an integrated MagSafe-compatible magnetic array on the back, for use with Mous chargers and accessories. Sold by Mous directly, it’s priced at $59.99 with shipments from February 28.
Casetify Impact Case
Casetify is well known for having a massive number of customizable designs, and the same can be said for its iPhone 16e-compatible cases. Some favorite options include the Stamp Collection case and the Camera case, which are both available from $64 from Casetify directly.
The Impact Case can protect against 8.2-foot drops, thanks to its EcoShock design, complete with a raised bezel for protecting the screen. The back has the MagSafe magnet array, while the sides have sockets for charm attachments.
Zagg Crystal Palace Snap with Kickstand
The Crystal Palace Snap from Zagg is more than just a clear case. Aside from its scratch-resistant, anti-yellowing casing with 13 feet of drop protection and graphene fortification, it also has MagSafe and a kickstand.
The kickstand is built into the case, so you can orient it in portrait or landscape modes depending on what you need. It’s also made from 56% recycled content.
The Crystal Palace Snap case with Kickstand is priced at $54.99 from Zagg directly, but you can find it on sale at Amazon at press time.
