iPad A16, M3 iPad Air, 48GB M4 Pro MacBook Pro, more 9to5Mac

Apple has just unveiled the M4 MacBook Air with a sweet new Sky Blue color no less, but we are now tracking some major savings opportunities on yesterday’s reveals – the M3 iPad Air and the new iPad (A16). Best Buy is now offering $50 off the new M3 Air for its members and trade-ins of an M2 can net you up to $650 off. The same goes for the iPad A16 – you can flip an iPad 10 to score the new model at 50% off. Those deals join Apple’s 16-inch M4 Pro MacBook Pro with 48GB of RAM at over $300 off, nearly 25% off the Apple Pencil Pro, and more. All of that and more awaits below in today’s 9to5Toys Lunch Break.

Apple’s 16-inch M4 Pro MacBook Pro with 48GB of RAM is over $300 off today at Amazon

Some folks are just fine with a new 14-inch M4 MacBook Pro, and understandably so – they are after all shipping with double the RAM these days. However, if you’re looking for some extra real-state and some serious horsepower under the hood without spending anywhere near M4 Max money, Amazon is now offering the 16-inch M4 Pro MacBook Pro with 48GB of RAM and the 512GB SSD down at $2,593 shipped – that’s over $300 off and within a couple bucks of the best price ever.

This 16-inch 48GB configuration regularly fetches a $2,899 list price, leaving you with $306 in savings here to deliver one of the best prices ever – we did see one color drop to $2,591 for quick day or so, but this is on par with the best ever otherwise.

All of that said, if these machines are just way too overkill for your needs, or you just don’t need the 16-inch display, there are some notable deals on the M4 and M4 Pro 14-inchers at some of the best prices we have tracked right now:

How to score the brand new iPad (A16) from just $174 with any prev-gen iPad 10 trade-in today

Yesterday we detailed some major opportunities for saving on the brand new M3 iPad Air pre-orders, and this morning we are looking the new iPad (A16) Apple unveiled yesterday – the upgraded iPad 10. While for some this is an underwhelming, Apple Intelligence-free model in the lineup, for me it delivers a ton of value as a family- and wallet-friendly solution that now ships with double the storage and a 30% faster chip over the previous-generation, all while remaining at the lower price point Apple introduced last spring. While the new model is up for pre-order at Amazon now, Best Buy is now offering up to $175 off with trade-ins of even the base 64GB model, effectively delivering a price at $174 on the new A16 model. Details below.

Again the new iPad 11, or more officially the iPad A16, isn’t going to get the hardcore Apple tablet users excited, but it does make for a sweet casual iPad experience, especially if you can score one for what is effectively more than half off.

As of right now, Best Buy will give $175 against your order on the new 128GB iPad A16, even if you trade-in the previous iPad 10the Generation 64GB model – so you’re flipping out for the brand new machine with the faster chip and double the storage with a serious deal here.

Let’s use the base model 128GB iPad A16 and the base model 64GB iPad 10 as an example here.

The whole process is a simple one too; Navigate to the iPad A16 listing on Best Buy, choose your storage capacity and color, and then add it to your cart.

In the cart, you’ll see a trade-in option directly below your new iPad A16, hit that and select the iPad 10 you have. Providing it is in good condition, Best Buy will serve up a $175 discount on the A16 pre-order, effectively knocking the price down to $174 shipped.

It might be the simple A16 model, but that is a brand new iPad for $174 – pretty solid if you ask me.

Brand new M3 iPad Air up to $650 off the new with M2 Air trades, or $50 off without one for members

Update: The new M3 iPad Air models are now available for pre-order at Amazon:

Apple unleashed its all-new M3 iPad Air lineup this morning and we are now tracking elevated trade-in rates and straight up deals for Best Buy members looking to upgrade from the M2 model (or anything else for that matter). Best Buy is now offering as much $650 off the M3 iPad Air starting today when you flip your M2 Air against your pre-order of the new model – providing it is in good condition anyway. The details are below.

As per usual, and as expected, the value you receive on your M2 iPad Air trade-in at Best buy largely depends on its condition, screen size, and the storage capacity. As long as it’s in good shape, you can score anywhere between $350and $650 off your new M3 iPad Air.

Now obviously there are other trade-in options here as well – you can trade in any older iPad you might be looking to flip out, but let’s take a look at the options for the M2 Air as an example for folks looking to trade up for the newer and more powerful chipset.

Just keep in mind, that on top of the trade-in options, Best Buy Plus and Total members can knock $50 off their order even without trading anything in.

Now let’s look at the trade-in values.

It is as simple as navigating to the 11-inch or 13-inch iPad Air listings, choosing your color and storage tier, and then adding it to the cart. In the cart, before checking out, you can hit the trade-in option you see to begin the process.

Apple Pencil Pro with Find My and M3 iPad Air-compatibility still down at $99 (Nearly 25% off)

After quickly going out of stock over the weekend, Amazon’s deal on the latest Apple Pencil Pro at $99 is now available once again. Shipping is, of course, free here, delivering nearly 25% in savings on the regularly $129 flagship Apple stylus. After pricing started to jump and availability became limited on the high-end iPad writer ahead of the holiday season last year, we saw the Pro drop to the same $99 we have here today for Black Friday.

There were some short-lived deals last fall that had Apple Pencil Pro as low as $89 at Amazon as well as a few quick offers at $94 or so, but deals that low have not been seen since then.

After debuting last May, what was once an Apple Pencil option only compatible with the M4 iPad Pro and M2 iPad Air, Apple has since launched its latest iPad mini 7 that also supports the pro-grade writer – it will presumably work on the 2025 iPad releases as well, but it’s hard to say for sure, especially with the expected entry-level iPad 11.
