Gamers can now play “Resident Evil 3” on their iPhone, iPad, and Mac, as the zombie horror franchise continues to infest Apple’s platforms.

Capcom’s Resident Evil series has gradually been making its way onto Apple’s hardware. On Tuesday, it was the turn of Resident Evil 3, which became available to purchase and play on iOS, iPadOS, and macOS.

Jill Valentine and the S.T.A.R.S. police unit had been investigating the outbreak of the T-Virus in Racoon City. After determining that the Umbrella Corporation was behind the virus, Valentine must survive the city and Nemesis, an Umbrella creation determined to take her down.

Resident Evil 3 is listed in the App Store as a free download, providing part of the base game to try out. The full base game can be unlocked as a $9.99 in-app purchase, with players also able to unlock all in-game rewards instantly for $1.99.

To play the game, it requires an iPhone 15 Pro or Pro Max or later model at a minimum running iOS 17.0 or later, or an iPad running iPadOS 17.0 or later with an A17 Pro or M-series chip. On Mac, it needs macOS 13.0 or later and an M1 chip at a minimum.

Game saves can be transferred between Apple hardware, so you can start a game on a Mac and continue it whole on the move with an iPhone.

The game also requires at least 31 gigabytes of storage, with the download itself at 20.7 gigabytes. Capcom recommends a game controller for the best experience, but it does have on-screen controls for iPhone and iPad.

Resident Evil 3 is the latest episode from the series to arrive on Apple’s platforms. In July, Resident Evil 7: Biohazard was released, while Resident Evil 2 did the same on December 10.
