You can opt for one shipment per month, three shipments every three months, six shipments every six months, and twelve shipments every twelve months. For this review, I ordered the single pack that comes with 10+ snacks, an info booklet, and currency from Poland.

Quick Arrival and Fun Packaging

The first thing I was impressed with was how quickly the box arrived without any damage. It was sealed properly and came in a cute, eye-catching pattern. It has an easy-to-access top flap to open and close, and the snacks were all packed in without being broken or opened. On the front of the box, there is a sticker that claims the snacks are best when refrigerated one to two hours before consumption, so I put them in the fridge before trying anything.

Wide Selection of Snacks

For over the course of two weeks, I tried every snack in the box. These ranged from Krakus Flakes Chocolate Cream Filled Wafers, Kinder chocolate bars, Landrynki Mietiwe mints, and even a multifruit juice. Everything seemed fresh—nothing was stale and or was past its expiration date according to the labels. This particular box was heavy on the sweeter side, which I enjoyed, but if that isn’t for you and you’re looking for a more savory selection, you can take TryMySnacks’ quiz before ordering to ensure you get one that fits your taste.

You aren’t guaranteed certain snacks with the box, but that’s the point and part of the fun. I’d say overall, the range was wide with various candies and cookies, so if you have a sweet tooth, this is a fantastic option.

More Than Just Food

What was especially cool about this box was that it came with a booklet, a sticker, and a coin from Poland. The booklet contained interesting facts about the country and the snacks, as well as a recipe and even a word search puzzle. Also, there were several bonus snacks like the Carlos V chocolate candy bar from Mexico, Hula Hoop chips from the U.K., and the Kat Kat Tat pastry from Turkey. According to TryMySnacks’ website, the company provides these when they are low on stock of other snacks from your selected country.

This could be a bummer for some; however, I thought it was still a great value since you still get the number of snacks you ordered. If anything, it’s a more well-rounded experience and a nice surprise.

Should You Buy a TryMySnacks Subscription Box?

I’d say whether you’re a novice in testing your palate or a seasoned snack connoisseur, subscribing to this service is well worth it. You get the choice of having it delivered to you based on your needs and budget, and it’s easy to stop the service whenever you want. Overall, you get a wonderful variety of treats and a glimpse into the country’s culture and history without traveling.
