Accidental? Samsung Just Revealed Several One UI 7 Details

As a Samsung user, I’ll be honest and say that the company’s delays with One UI 7 have been driving me crazy. Essentially every other Android manufacturer that takes itself seriously has released its respective version of Android 15, but Samsung isn’t going to be joining that squad anytime soon.

We’re going to have to wait until next year before One UI 7 comes out, and even then, only those with the new S25 series will be getting the first taste. However, to sate your appetite, Samsung might have prematurely launched a webpage with several One UI 7 details.

Samsung Spain Accidentally Deployed A Webpage With A Lot Of One UI 7 Details

The best kinds of leaks are the ones that come straight from the horse’s mouth, and that’s the kind that we’ve just gotten from Samsung, courtesy of Samsung Spain. Leaker chunvn8888 on X spotted the page after it had gone live. While it seems that it was meant to be a live page, it apparently contained a lot of info, including short videos, about One UI 7. That definitely didn’t seem to be in the plans.

Right now, the entire page has been taken down, but before that, only certain One UI 7 were removed, essentially proving that a gaffe was made by someone, somewhere. We don’t care though, because we’ve been so starved for official details. Let’s dive into some of the specifics, along with the videos that were posted.

Samsung Shows Off New Icons, Changes To The Notification Center, And The New Lock Screen Look

The reason for Samsung’s delay with One UI 7 is supposedly because it is going to be a major overhaul of the One UI 7 that we’re used to. The DNA will still be there, but visually, a lot is going to change.

At the beginning of the video above, we can see a lot of the icons get changed. They leave the flat color palette and become a little more expressive. I’m not sure whether I like them more or less though, but they look good regardless. We can also see the change to the battery icon and how some lock screen notifications (probably not all) show up at the bottom. It certainly looks clean.

One of the more notable changes, that we’ve known about for some time, is that the quick settings and notifications will now be housed in separate shades. At the very least, it’ll make things less cluttered, but I need to give it a trial before I know whether I like it more or less.

One UI 7 Is Going To Be All About Galaxy AI, Samsung Says

Unsurprisingly, Samsung confirms that Galaxy AI is going to be a big part of One UI 7. Every OS based on Android 15 centers on AI, since that’s the trending thing at this moment. You’re going to have to deal with “AI powering every step”, whether you like it or not.

One demonstration is how Sketch to Image in One UI 7 is going to be enhanced with more options for the image that is produced, such as a 3D cartoon, sketch, or watercolor look.

Portrait Studio Brings AI Into Your Portraits Too

One UI 7 will also come with a feature called “Portrait Studio”, which essentially brings similar functionality as Sketch to Image, except for portraits of yourself. If you like a photo a lot but don’t want to show your actual face or prefer a more artistic expression of it, this lets you utilize AI to slap a comic, 3D cartoon, or sketch vibe onto that portrait.

It Also Seems Like One UI 7 Will Add Child Safety Features To The Galaxy Store

Of course, children use Galaxy devices too, and child safety is incredibly important in this age of the internet. One of the features that we can see from the image above demonstrates how parents or guardians can make sure that their permission is required before a child can download or purchase an app from the Galaxy Store.
