Today at CES, Acer unveiled 2025 versions of its lightweight Swift Go and eco-friendly Aspire Vero line of laptops. These models boast the latest Intel Core Ultra 200H processors as well as high-speed 5G and Wi-Fi 7 connectivity. Essentially, they’re lighter and more powerful than previous iterations.
Here at PCWorld, we really dig Acer’s Swift Go laptops. In our review of the 2024 model, which we awarded 4 stars out of 5, we described it as a “reliable travel workhorse through and through.” Not only was day-to-day performance quite good, but it also weighed just a little over three pounds.

Acer Swift Go (14- and 16-inch models)
Acer’s latest Swift Go model comes in two different sizes, 14-inch and 16-inch. The 14-inch model weighs just 2.9 pounds (it’s about one pound lighter than the 2024 version), and the 16-inch version weighs a little more at 3.3 pounds. The 14-inch model won’t be much of a back breaker, that’s for sure.
In addition to having the newest Intel Core Ultra 200H series CPUs, they also have up to 32GB of LPDDR5X of RAM and up to 2TB of SSD storage, and Intel Arc graphics along with various AI tools. Given those specs, I suspect they will provide reliable performance and more than enough space to accommodate a good amount of photos.
The display options include a 1800p OLED display or a 1200p IPS touchscreen, both of which should be clear enough for day-to-day activities and watching movies. The OLED display features “VESA DisplayHDR, TrueBlack 500, and Eyesafe 2.0 certification,” according to Acer. It basically means you’re in for a good-looking picture, as OLED panels are designed to produce deeper blacks and richer colors.
Finally, you’re getting 99 total AI TOPS, a relatively new term that stands for Tera Operations per Second and indicates the capabilities of the laptops’ NPU, or neural processing unit (a special chip in Copilot PCs that handles and boosts AI-related tasks).
The Acer Swift Go 16 launches in April 2025 with a starting price of $949.99, and the 14-inch model hits the streets in May 2025 with a starting price of $899.99.

Acer Aspire Vero 16
Acer’s sustainable Vero line of laptops are often durable and have unique textured lids with yellow flecks that give them their own identity. The latest Aspire Vero 16 follows much of the same design blueprint. This time around it’s more powerful, as it comes with an Intel Core Ultra 200H series processor. Similar to the Acer Swift Go models above, the Vero also comes with up to 32GB of RAM and up to 2TB of SSD storage.
Acer describes this laptop as a “green but mean machine.” The most recent iteration is made of more than 70 percent of PCR and bio-based materials, according to Acer. It also appears to be quite durable, as it’s MIL-STD-810H certified, which means it can definitely handle a good knock or two.
The Acer Aspire Vero 16 becomes available in April 2025 with a starting price of $799.99.
