Amazon cuts out the middle man – starts selling its own TV’s with Fire TV and Alexa built-in


Manufacturing the world’s most popular streaming stick doesn’t seem to be enough for Amazon with the online retailer announcing its first own-branded smart televisions that sport Fire TV built-in. Called the Fire TV Omni Series and Amazon Fire TV 4-Series, Amazon’s offerings feature 4K UHD resolution, Alexa, and Fire TV smarts with pricing starting from $370. If streaming sticks are your jam, Amazon has also launched the Fire TV Stick 4K Max which is said to be its most powerful stick ever and comes with the new Alexa Voice Remote.

Omni Fire TV Series

The Omni Fire TV Series is the headliner option with Alexa hands-free voice control, 4K UHD, and Dolby Digital Plus with prices starting from $409.99.

Amazon also announced its latest streaming stick called the Fire TV Stick 4K Max that is powered by a new quad-core chip along with 2GB of RAM and support for WiFi 6, Dolby Vision, and Dolby Atmos. HDR and HDR10 streaming is also featuring, and the stick also supports Live Picture-in-Picture viewing. The latest Alexa Voice Remote is bundled in with the stick, with dedicated buttons for Prime Video, Netflix, Disney+, and Hulu.
